050 | [Situation] 4 1/3 Miles S.S.W. [South South West ] from Lochmaben. A Farm house and outbuildings with Lands and garden attached the property of the Marquis of Queensberry. John Copeland occupant. The Site on which this house & its outbuildings stand, presents an undoubted appearance of having been a Camp formerly. A part of the anterior ditch & embankment is distinctly visible, and the embankment surrounding the interior of the Camp is quite visible in many parts, but the process of building and cultivation has destroyed the Complete formation.
