024 | This is the remains of a vaulted tower at Boreland, As it bears no date or inscription, its age cannot be correctly ascertained. From the plan of the building, it cannot be less than 600 years old. The remains of an ancient Strong hold belonging to the family of Charters, nothing remains but part of a vaulted arch and the remains of some of the outbuildings which is on the south of the vault, this object is locally called the Vault which is the remains of a tower. |
