043 | [Situation] 1 1/8 mile S.E. [South East] from Hewk. This is the supposed site of a British Fort on the farm of Hallhills. Its shape is that of an oval-like with the Corners a little rounded, but its original Shape Cannot be Accurately distinguished. This Fort is known in the locality by the name of Roseburian Camp. Part of the Rampart and fosse appears on the E. [East] side. The W. [West] is the declination of a steep brae. |
