043 | [Situation] 43 chains S. [South] from Hewk At the time of the annexation, of the Parish of Sibbaldbie, to Applegarth in 1609, it is said this church was unroofed and allowed to go into decay. There is no remains whatever of it to be seen now. An old inhabitant of Sibbaldbie who remembered a small portion of it standing pointed out the site which is still visible, the Grave Yard is still used as a burial ground, which is a small square enclosure. |
