Transcriber's notes
Some words of Description are wholly or partly lost in the tight binding of the right margin.
An entry for "Sloda hill" has been scored through and is not transcribed.
That part of Description of "Catlins" beginning "Two of these" appears may to relate to the Spelling "Catlins Smithy" but this has not been given as a separate entry on the page by the surveyor. It is not clear if this was intended by them to be a separate location from "Catlins" or not, but the map sheet does not appear to have "Catlins Smithy" depicted.
