... one flax-mill, one potatoe farm mill and one saw mill. There are 2 cattle Trysts held annually at the Glenkindie Masons Arms Inn, the one lately altered to the first Monday after Trinity Muir in April, and the other on the first Saturday after Keith in September. There are 3 Wooden Bridges across the Don for footpassengers, which are often rendered useless by the Flooded state of the River. From Statistical Account of Aberdeenshire 1843 pages 415, & 417, 418.
