070 | About 20 years ago. a Cist or stone Coffin was discovered here. and consisted of rough stones or flags. set on end. and covering the top, & was about. 2 feet long by 2 feet broad and 20 inches deep. and about 2 feet from the surface. Containing some human bones and ashes. |

070 | This is a fine specimen of an Erd house, or as the are commonly called Picts houses. It was discovered in 1862. and what had fallen into decay has been restored, a door put on the entrance. paling put round it and planted with trees on top, so that at present it has a fine and complete apperance. There was nothing found in it when opened out only ashes. |
