011 | Gairniston Castle appears to have been the residence of the chief of the Clan Dalgarno but there is very little known about it at present; there is not an apparent vestige of it now; but the small park in which it's situation is shown, is consider'd to have been the Castle Garden. A small stream from the southwards falls into the Burn of King Edward near the ruin, on the right bank of which formerly stood Garniston, the seat of the Cheif of the Clan Dalgarno. vide Pratts, Buchan. Ordnance Survey - Aberdeen county
Ordnance Survey was established in the 18th century to create maps, surveys and associated records for the entirety of Great Britain. These records are arranged by county. This entry has been created to enable searching for Ordnance Survey records for the county of Aberdeen, which is in the north east of Scotland. The boundaries of the county were altered by the Boundary Commissioners in 1891.
