034 | 60 years ago, four large stones stood in an arable field on the side of the hill of Bucharn, They formed the corners of a square thus: :: and were about 40 links apart. They are said to have been the remains of a Druidical Circle. The tenant of the Farm on which they stood thinking they were of more use for building purposes, than remaining as antiquities caused them to be removed. While digging round them for that purpose a quantity of human bones were found, very much decayed. The stones were used in the Construction of the Mill of Collithie. |
