Supposed to have been a stone Circle; Some 40 years Since, three Stones were standing the other two were removed for housebuilding at Fyvie, The one remaining was lying on the ground for some years. The proprietor Mr Chalmers got it raised upon end and is now a Conspicuous object, and situated abt. [about] 4½ chains S.E. [South East] of the Summit or highest point of Monk's Hill. |
