[Continued from page 9] a considerable portion of territory to it. Besides this there are two small Annexations, quod sacra, of portions of this parish to Adjoining parishes, one on the South to the parish of Daviot, with a population of about Seventy; one on the West to the parish of Rayne, with a population of about forty. The Manse was built in 1830, and offices, The Glebe is small but fertile. The Church at Millbrex built in 1833. Contains sittings for five hundred, so as to accomodate the Northern quarter of this parish, with a portion of the adjoining parish of Montquhitter. Of the two Episcopalian Chapels in this parish, one is situated at Woodhead, about a mile and a half North East of the Parish Church, the other at Meikle-Folla, within a few yards of the Southern boundary of the parish. The total number of schools in the parish is Eight; one of them only is Endowed, the parish school, situated a little to the north of the Church. The Schoolmaster is session clerk & enjoys the benefit of the Dick Bequest. A [Continued on page 11] |
