The basement story being vaulted and arched. and a small tower rising about. 30. feet. with loop holes &c. gives it a Castleated appearance; and is designated "The Castle," in the surrounding district. It remained in a delapidated state for many years. and without the roof until 1865 - 66. it was restored, and is now in a good state of repair. & fit to be occupied A short time ago a "Sculptured Stone" was taken from where it stood at Newton, and placed in one of the vaults of this Castle. (temporary) chiefly with the object of preserving it. The garden and ornamental ground. &c is kept in very good repair. &c The property of David Seton Esqr.
