Mr R. Gordon, Farmer, Gordonstown. Mr Garrie, Gamekeeper, Knockespock. Mr James Anderson, Tullochleys. |
043 | About two years ago a large cairn of stones stood here, and the Tenant of Tullochleys Farm requiring material to fill up drains with, used this cairn for that purpose; and when digging immediately under the cairn, he found a great quantity of charred bones & unctuous matter in a hole, resembling the shape and size of a coffin. Ordnance Survey - Aberdeen county
Ordnance Survey was established in the 18th century to create maps, surveys and associated records for the entirety of Great Britain. These records are arranged by county. This entry has been created to enable searching for Ordnance Survey records for the county of Aberdeen, which is in the north east of Scotland. The boundaries of the county were altered by the Boundary Commissioners in 1891.
