Within the last century several donations and bequests have been made to the institution by benevolent individual. As the lodging of the beadsmen, and providing for them in the hospital, was found to be attended with Many inconveniences, the house and grounds belonging to it were sold, several years ago, and the price appropriated to the common funds, which by Care and attention of the administrators, have increased to upwards of £2000 sterling. There are now eighteen old men who participate of the annual revenue derived from these funds. In modern times, benefactors to the institution, to a certain extent, are entitled by its rules, to present indigent persons to the benefit of this Charitable foundation.
