In this poser, taken from the minutes of the Synod of Fife in 1628 (National Records of Scotland, CH2/154/1, page 318), we asked you which two men were the presbyteries to investigate or take action against and why?

Answers: The presbyteries were to inquire after Thomas Sim, a fugitive from Newburgh, and to take action against Francis Con, suspected of being a Catholic (suspect of papistrie).
