Poser 352 - Minute book of Lanark burgh, 1675

This poser is taken from a minute book for the burgh of Lanark and appears by kind permission of South Lanarkshire Council's Leisure and Culture Libraries and Museum service. The original volume may be consulted in the Local History department of Lanark Library.

This extract illustrates the difficulty in telling apart the secretary letters d and e. Note also the short form of the secretary hand s and the double l (for example in Baillies – the fourth word in line 2).
