Wiston kirk session
A church court that sat within the presbytery of Lanark and the synod of Glasgow and Ayr. In 1772 it was united with Roberton. The vicarage of Wiston had previously belonged to the priory of Lesmahagow and its church was dedicated to St Ninian. Following the union of Wiston and Roberton, the church of Wiston was enlarged and served as the place of worship for the united parish. There was also a relief chapel built at Roberton at the beginning of the nineteenth century.
