Wigtown United Associate, United Presbyterian, United Free kirk session

A secession church court. It began as a United Associate (Antiburgher) congregation around 1750. The congregation passed to the United Presbyterian Church in 1847, and to the United Free Church, as Wigtown West, in 1900. In 1901 it was united with the former Free Church of Wigtown United Free, under the name of Wigtown United Free. The congregation passed to the Church of Scotland, as Wigtown West, in 1929. It was united with Wigtown Laigh in 1948, as Wigtown.
