Whithorn Associate, United Presbyterian, United Free kirk session
A secession church court. It began as an Associate (Antiburgher) congregation before 1793. The congregation passed to the United Presbyterian Church in 1847, and to the United Free Church, as Whithorn - St John's, in 1900, and the charge was reduced in status in 1910. In 1913, however, Whithorn - St John's was united with the congregation of Whithorn - St Ninian's, under the name of Whithorn. The united congregation passed to the Church of Scotland in 1929 as Whithorn - St Ninian's, and in 1937 it united with Whithorn - Priory under the name of Whithorn - St Ninian's Priory.
