Urquhart (Elgin) kirk session
A church court that sat within the presbytery of Elgin and the synod of Moray. Originally, the Church of Urquhart belonged to the Abbey of Inchcolm, being dedicated first to St. Irchard and then to St. Margaret. Inveraven and Urquhart together made a prebend of Elgin Cathedral, held by the Chancellor of the Diocese of Moray.
