Forbes and Kearn kirk session
A church court which sat within the presbytery of Alford and the synod of Aberdeen. During a large part of the 17th and 18th centuries the parishes of Forbes and Kearn were united. The links between them however were not constant and the two parishes have experienced various unifications. The Parish of Forbes went on to unite with Tullynessle to form Tullynessle and Forbes, and Kearn was united with the parish of Auchindor.
