Troqueer kirk session
A church court that sat within the presbytery of Dumfries and the synod of Dumfries. Prior to the Reformation, Troqueer church belonged to the abbey of Tongland, and later to the priory of Whithorn. From 1574 to 1608 it was held by the bishops of Galloway. Ministers of the charge are recorded from the 1560s.
