Torryburn Free, United Free Church kirk session

A secession church court. It originated as a Free Church in 1843. The congregation passed to the United Free Church in 1900, and to the Church of Scotland in 1929, as Newmills. In 1933 the congregation of Newmills was reduced in status, and was worked by a lay missionary until 1945, when a union was established with Torryburn, to form the charge of Torryburn and Newmills.
