Tarbolton Associate (Burgher), United Presbyterian kirk session
A secession church court. It began as a Burgher congregation in 1776. The congregation passed to the United Presbyterian Church as Tarbolton Erskine in 1847, and to the United Free Church in 1900. It united with Tarbolton St John's as Tarbolton United Free in 1904. The united congregation then passed to the Church of Scotland, as Tarbolton Erskine, in 1929, and united again with Tarbolton Old as Tarbolton in 1943.
