Deerness kirk session
A Church of Scotland quoad sacra parish. It sat within the presbytery of Kirkwall and the synod of Orkney. It began as a pre-Reformation parish, but in the sixteenth century was annexed into St Andrews or Tankerness parish. In 1845, Deerness was erected as a separate quoad sacra parish by disjunction from St Andrews.
