Strathaven Associate kirk session

A secession church court. The charge began as an Associate (Antiburgher) congregation in the parish of Avondale. It was formally erected in 1765, the first church having been built in Strathaven the previous year. It passed successively to the United Secession and United Presbyterian Churches and finally to the United Free Church in 1900. The charge was dissolved in 1907.
