Stirling - Erskine United Presbyterian, United Free, Church of Scotland kirk session

A secession church court. It began as an Associate congregation in 1740. The congregation was formed by Ebenezer Erskine. At the split of the Presbytery in 1747 Erskine sided with the Associate Synod (Burgher) and the congregation joined with the United Secession Church in 1820 when the Burghers and Antiburghers were united. The congregation passed to the United Presbyterian Church in 1847, and was increasingly referred to as Erskine Church. The congregation passed to the United Free Church in 1900 as Stirling Erskine, and to the Church of Scotland in 1929. It united with Marykirk in 1934, as Erskine-Marykirk.
