Selkirk kirk session
A church court that sat within the presbytery of Selkirk and the synod of Merse and Teviotdale. Parts of this parish were removed to form Selkirk Heatherlie in 1877 and Caddonfoot parish in 1898. The kirk session of Selkirk St. Mary's was established following the Reformation in 1560. Ministers to the parish are recorded from 1563. Prior to the Reformation, the church belonged to the Abbey of Kelso.
