Scottish Cabinet - 3rd Administration - Cabinet Secretary for Finance and Sustainable Growth
The position of Minister for Finance was introduced in 1999. The position was renamed Minister for Finance and Local Government from 2000-2001, and further renamed Minister for Finance and Public Services (2001-2004) and subsequently Minister for Finance and Public Service Reform (2004-2007). In 2007 the Minister of Finance element was combined with that of Enterprise and Transport to create the post of Cabinet Secretary for Finance and Sustainable Growth. The 3rd Administration refers to the Scottish National Party (SNP) minority Scottish Government, which was elected at the third Scottish Parliament election on 3 May 2007. The Scottish Executive was renamed the Scottish Government in 2007.
