SCOTTISH CABINET : 2ND ADMINISTRATION : MINISTER FOR PARLIAMENTARY BUSINESS
The position was originally created in 1999 as Chief Whip and Government Business Manager, shortly afterward being renamed as Minister for Parliament. The post was renamed Minister for Parliamentary Business in 2001. The 2nd Administration refers to the Labour/Liberal Democrat coalition Scottish Executive which was elected at the second Scottish Parliament election on 1 May 2003.
