SCOTTISH CABINET : 2ND ADMINISTRATION : MANAGEMENT GROUP

The Management Group of the Scottish Executive was made up of senior officials and was chaired by the Permanent Secretary, the most senior civil servant in Scotland. The role of the Management Group was to lead the Scottish Executive by developing long-term policy with, and for, Ministers, and to promote the corporate management of the organisation. The 2nd Administration refers to the Labour/Liberal Democrat coalition Scottish Executive which was elected at the second Scottish Parliament election on 1 May 2003.
