SCOTTISH CABINET : 2ND ADMINISTRATION : MINISTER FOR COMMUNITIES

The position of Minister for Communities was created in 1999. The Minister had responsibility for communities issues. From 2000 to 2003 the position was discontinued and responsibility for communities fell to the Minister for Social Justice. The position of Minister for Communities was reinstated after the 2003 Scottish Parliament election, and existed until 2007. The 2nd Administration refers to the Labour/Liberal Democrat coalition Scottish Executive which was elected at the second Scottish Parliament election on 1 May 2003.
