Scottish Cabinet - 3rd Administration - Minister for Parliamentary Business
The position was originally created in 1999 as Chief Whip and Government Business Manager, shortly afterward being renamed as Minister for Parliament. The post was renamed Minister for Parliamentary Business in 2001. The 3rd Administration refers to the Scottish National Party (SNP) minority Scottish Government, which was elected at the third Scottish Parliament election on 3 May 2007. The Scottish Executive was renamed the Scottish Government in 2007.
