Newcastleton (Castleton) Free kirk session

A secession church court. It began as the Free Church congregation of Castleton or Newcastleton in 1850. The congregation passed to the United Free Church, as Newcastleton North, in 1900, and to the Church of Scotland, as Newcastleton Park, in 1929. It was united in 1934 with the congregation of Newcastleton South, when the charge became known as Newcastleton. It was reduced in status in 1940 and in 1946 it united with Castleton parish.
