Balgedie United Presbyterian, United Free kirk session

A secession church court. It began in 1800 as a United Presbyterian congregation in Balgedie, which was in the parish of Portmoak, in the county of Kinross. In 1811 it became a United Presbyterian parish in its own right. In 1900 it became Balgedie United Free Church, and in 1908 the session of Balgedie and Portmoak United Free was formed by the union of the congregations of Balgedie, and Potmoak and Flockhouse United Free churches. Following the 1929 union of the Church of Scotland and the United Free Church, Portmoak was dropped from the name of the session and in 1936 Balgedie Church of Scotland united with Portmoak.
