Newton Stewart Relief, United Presbyterian kirk session
A secession church court. It began as a Relief congregation in 1791. The congregation passed to the United Presbyterian Church in 1847, and to the United Free Church, as Newton Stewart York Road, which in 1924 united with Newton Stewart Trinity as Newton Stewart St John's.
