Pencaitland Free, United Free kirk session

A secession church court. It began as a Free Church in 1843. It was reduced to a preaching station in 1882 but was sanctioned once again in 1891. The congregation passed to the United Free Church in 1900, and to the Church of Scotland, as Pencaitland West, in 1929. In 1935 Pencaitland West united with the congregation of Pencaitland Old, under the name of Pencaitland Church of Scotland.
