West Linton Associate, United Presbyterian, United Free Church kirk session
A secession church court. It began as an Associate (Burgher) congregation around 1737. The congregation passed to the United Presbyterian Church in 1847, and to the United Free Church in 1900. In 1910 a union was established between West Linton United Free and Newlands United Free, to form the session of West Linton and Newlands United Free Church. The united congregation passed to the Church of Scotland in 1929, as West Linton Trinity. In 1943 the congregation was reduced in status.
