Nigg Associate (Antiburgher), United Secession, United Presbyterian kirk session
A secession church court. It began as an Antiburgher congregation in 1756. The congregation passed to the United Secession church in 1820, to the Presbyterian Church in 1847, and to the United Free Church, as Nigg - Chapelhill, in 1900. It united with the former Nigg (Free) as Nigg and Chapelhill in 1922. The united congregation passed to the Church of Scotland in 1929 as Nigg - Chapelhill, but the union of 1922 was dissolved in 1949. The former Nigg Free Church then united with Nigg - Old and Nigg - Chapelhill continued as a separate congregation. The two reunited in 1966.
