Newtyle Free, United Free kirk session
A secession church court. It began as a Free Church congregation in 1843. The charge was sanctioned in 1862. The congregation passed to the United Free Church in 1900, and to the Church of Scotland, as Newtyle East, in 1929. In 1938 Newtyle East joined with the congregation of Newtyle West, under the name of Newtyle.
