Barrhead Associate (Burgher), United Presbyterian kirk session
A secession church court. It began as Barrhead Burgher Church in 1793. It became a United Presbyterian church in 1847 and in 1900, upon the union of the Free Church and the United Presbyterians, the congregation of Barrhead United Presbyterian Church was renamed Barrhead Arthurlie United Free Church. In 1929, Barrhead Arthurlie United Free became Barrhead Arthurlie Church of Scotland and in 1931 the congregation of Barrhead Westbourne was united with Barrhead Arthurlie. The united congregation continued under the name of Barrhead Arthurlie.
