Morebattle kirk session
A church court that sat within the presbytery of Kelso and the synod of Merse and Teviotdale. The church of Morebattle was dedicated to St Lawrence and is thought to have belonged to the Cathedral of Glasgow as early as the twelfth century. It comprises two ancient parishes, that of Morebattle and Moll or Mow. Ministry is recorded from 1582.
