Montrose - First United Associate (Antiburgher), United Presbyterian kirk session
A secession church court. It began as a United Associate congregation in 1740. At the Breach of 1747 most of the members joined the Antiburgher cause. The congregation passed to the United Presbyterian Church in 1847, to the United Free Church in 1900, and to the Church of Scotland, as Montrose - St Luke's, in 1929. It united with Montrose - St John's as Montrose - St Luke's and St John's in 1953.
