Meldrum kirk session
A church court that sat within the presbytery of Garioch, later of Gordon, and the synod of Aberdeen. The church of Meldrum, which was known as Bethelnie until 1684, was dedicated to St Nathalan and belonged, prior to the reformation, to the Abbey of Arbroath. In 1876 a portion of the parish was disjoined to form part of the quoad sacra parish of Barthol Chapel.
