Markinch Free kirk session
A secession church court. It began as a Free Church in 1843. The congregation passed to the United Free Church, as Markinch Brunton, in 1900, and to the Church of Scotland in 1929. In 1956 Markinch Brunton joined with the congregation of Markinch Balbirnie, to form the congregation of Markinch Balbirnie-Brunton, although this name was later changed to Markinch St Mark's.
