Darvel United Original Secession kirk session
A secession church court. It began as part of the large Reformed Presbyterian congregation of Renfrew and Ayr, created in 1776. In 1876 the congregation joined the Free Church, then became an Original Secession congregation in 1882. The main body transferred to the United Free Church as Darvel Easton Memorial in 1900, and to the Church of Scotland in 1929. It was reduced in status between 1949 and 1952, and united with Darvel Irvine Bank as Darvel Irvine Bank and Easton Memorial in 1956.
