Edinburgh - Liberton kirk session

A church court that sat within the presbytery of Edinburgh and the synod of Lothian and Tweeddale. In 1128 Liberton church, which originally existed as a dependant chapel of St Cuthbert's, was granted by David I to Holyrood Abbey and it is believed to have been erected into a parish around a century later.
