Lynturk (Tough) Associate, United Presbyterian, United Free, Church of Scotland kirk session
A secession church court. It began in 1761 as Tough Associate Session Church. It adhered to the Burgher party. The congregation passed to the United Presbyterian Church in 1847, and changed its name to Lynturk in 1866. The congregation then passed to the United Free Church in 1900. It was reduced in status in 1917. When the United Free Church rejoined the Church of Scotland in 1929 the congregation was apparently suppressed, but served by missionaries until 1953 when the parish united with Leochel-Cushnie.
