Lasswade kirk session

A church court that sat within the presbytery of Dalkeith and the synod of Lothian and Tweeddale. The old church of Lasswade, which was dedicated to St Edwin and built in the thirteenth century, was united to the Collegiate Church of Restalrig prior to the Reformation. In 1592 an act of parliament dissolved the Deanery of Restalrig and erected Lasswade into a separate parish. The quoad sacra parish of Roslin was established in 1834.
