Knockbain Free kirk session
A secession church court. It began as a Free Church in 1843. The congregation split over the building of a new church and manse at Munlochy in the 1880s. The part remaining with the original church became Knockbain West. It passed to the United Free Church, as Knockbain, in 1900, and to the Church of Scotland, as Knockbain North, in 1929. Knockbain North and Knockbain South united as Knockbain in 1934.
